Responsibilities Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients to support chefs and cooks Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards Support cooking activities by following recipes and instructions from culinary staff Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and handling procedures are followed Help with meal assembly and plating for service periods, ensuring presentation meets quality standards Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and breakdown Serve food to guests or staff in a courteous manner when required, adhering to hygiene protocols Skills Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly Familiarity with restaurant or food industry environments enhances your ability to excel in this role Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques are highly valued Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff Join us as a Kitchen Helper and become an integral part of delivering delicious meals in a lively, supportive environment!
