Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Helper, where your enthusiasm and dedication will support the smooth operation of our food service environment. In this vital role, you will assist with food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and food handling to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming dining experience for all. Your energy and attention to detail will help uphold our high standards of food safety and quality, making a positive impact on every meal served. Duties Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meals. Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and maintaining cooking stations in a clean and organized manner. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations. Contribute to meal preparation and serving processes, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Support catering events by setting up serving stations and assisting with food distribution. Follow all safety protocols related to kitchen equipment, knife skills, and food storage to prevent accidents or contamination. Skills Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Prior kitchen experience in restaurants or the food industry provides a strong foundation for this role. Knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation enhances your ability to support culinary operations effectively. Proficiency in food handling, cooking techniques, and food safety standards is essential for maintaining quality and compliance. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen tools improve efficiency during food prep tasks. Excellent communication skills facilitate teamwork during busy service periods. Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a lively, positive attitude contributes to a vibrant kitchen environment.
