Job Description

EXPEDITOR
Rupert's Durango is a small, independent, family owned and operated restaurant in Durango, CO. We specialize in fresh, quality food prepared with the finest ingredients and with the utmost care and attention to detail. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, team-oriented Expeditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Expediter in a high-volume environment, be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and be able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
. We are looking for someone who is focused, organized, reliable, and loves to be the go-between a great kitchen and service team. Job duties
  • Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the wait staff to the kitchen
  • Be the liaison between the wait staff, to go staff and the kitchen
  • Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
  • Verify that to go orders are correct, label and cross reference tickets and to go bacgs, verify delivery drivers are picking up the correct order
  • Assist in the final preparation of dishes
  • Assist servers and bartender as needed
  • Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
  • Ensure all items are delivered to the table in a timely manner; assist service staff by running food to tables
  • Be vigilant to ensure all to go orders have every item and that the bags are labeled correctly
  • Communicate with management if orders need upcharges
  • Communicate with cooks to check that special instructions on items are followed
  • Watch ticket times and communicate with management if they are exceeding standards
  • Eliminate obstacles in service and food preparation
  • Inspect the expo area according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning Requirements
  • Proven experience as food expeditor
  • Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant
  • Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils
  • Well-organized and ability to lead and direct people
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skill We work as a team at Rupert's and are looking for team players and those who want to earn great money and have fun doing it!
Shift is Monday through Friday starting as early as 730am and staying as late as 2:30pm On occasional weekend may be required Hourly wage range of $21 - $24+ /Wage includes tips Please send your resume and we can set up an in-person interview"
Qualifications:
Ability to learn quickly from written instructions. Ability to communicate clearly with others. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours). Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly throughout shifts.
