Restaurant Expeditor

Expeditor Rein Osteria & The Reserve are sister restaurants, located in Danbury, CT. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced expeditor who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment. This is also an evolving position—ideal for a motivated individual who sees opportunities to grow with the business. Summary of Position:

The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring all food orders are prepared within a timely manner and according to guest special requests. The expeditor is the core of communication between the kitchen and front of house staff, they are responsible for thw overall flow of the service. As an Expeditor, you must have excellent communication skills and the stamina to be in constant motion in the restaurant's hectic setting.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Ensure the efficient flow of orders
• Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
• Consistency in checking dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
• Eliminate any obstacles in service, food preparation lines and dishwashing
• Communicate important information to the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a guest has a particular request)
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to balance and carry multiple food and beverage items to and from table area
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods of time
• Excellent people skills and outgoing personality
• Team player, able to view the view to the greater restaurant

Pay:

$16.36 - $20.00 per hour
