Duties Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning food items Support cooking activities by following recipes and food safety guidelines Help with food handling, storage, and sanitation to ensure compliance with health regulations Serve meals to residents or customers in a courteous and efficient manner Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout shifts Follow menu plans and assist in catering or special event food service as needed Support the dietary department by helping with menu planning and meal assembly tasks Experience Previous experience in dietary services, food preparation, or kitchen environments preferred Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous Knowledge of culinary skills such as knife handling, cooking methods, and meal assembly is beneficial Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and support staff This role is perfect for individuals passionate about food service who want to develop their culinary skills while making a positive impact on the community.
