Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Helper and play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our food service environment. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety protocols. As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist with a variety of tasks that ensure our kitchen runs efficiently, safely, and hygienically, contributing to delivering high-quality meals and excellent service. Duties Assist with food preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients for cooking and meal assembly Support cooking activities by preparing basic dishes under supervision and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards Help with food service tasks such as plating, serving, and replenishing supplies during meal times Follow all safety guidelines related to food handling, knife skills, and sanitation to prevent contamination and accidents Aid in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying staff of stock levels or shortages Support catering events or special meal preparations as needed to ensure timely delivery of quality food Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or the food industry is highly desirable Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Experience working in restaurants or catering environments is a plus Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are beneficial Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary staff and serving customers This paid position offers an engaging environment where you can develop culinary skills while contributing to a team dedicated to quality food service.
