This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to bring creative, fresh, and soulful dishes to life. You'll play a key part in maintaining the rhythm of the kitchen by preparing ingredients and supporting the culinary team. Key Responsibilities Prepare fresh ingredients daily (washing, chopping, slicing, marinating) Assist chefs with basic cooking tasks and recipe execution Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations and kitchen areas Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times Properly store ingredients and monitor inventory levels Support the kitchen team during busy service hours Help with receiving and organizing deliveries Ensure consistency and quality in all prep work Qualifications Previous kitchen prep or cooking experience preferred, but not required Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and time management skills Passion for food, creativity, and a laid-back yet professional atmosphere Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Work Environment Artistic, eclectic, and relaxed Bahamian-style restaurant Collaborative and inclusive team culture Opportunities to learn and grow within the kitchen Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs Comfortable working in a hot and busy kitchen environment Why Join Us?
