Cafe Bar Runner

Responsibilities

• Preparation of all deli foods, excluding bakery items
• Ensure hot bar service by 11:00 AM, ongoing maintenance of the hot bar
• Ensure work station and kitchen cleanliness
• Ensure proper use of all kitchen equipment
• Put away orders as needed
• Create and document new recipes
• Follow safe food handling guidelines
• Work with Shift Coordinator to assist in the daily workflow
• Participate in departmental and storewide meetings and trainings
• Participate in departmental inventories and projects
• Other tasks as assigned by Kitchen Manager/Shift Coordinator
• Maintain hot bar as assigned
• Ensure efficient work flow as assigned
• Ensure performance of cleaning duties as assigned Job Qualifications
• Quick, efficient cooking skills
• Professional cooking experience
• Able to work well in a team to achieve departmental goals
• Interested in cooking and natural foods
• English proficiency
• Food Handling Certification General Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands
• Organized, attention to detail.
• Familiarity with natural and organic foods
• Self-motivated, organized, responsible, flexible
• Regular, predictable attendance with ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
• Ability to project friendly, outgoing personality
• Written and spoken English proficiency
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
