EFM Services is a small, locally owned commercial maintenance company based in Winter Park, FL. We proudly serve restaurants and foodservice businesses across Central Florida with responsive, reliable repairs — and we're growing! We're looking for a skilled Hot-Side Equipment Technician to join our tight-knit team and help keep our clients' kitchens running smoothly.
Job Summary:
As a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining hot-side restaurant equipment , including ovens, fryers, griddles, steamers, and more. This is a field-based position requiring solid troubleshooting skills, independence, and professionalism when working directly with clients.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair gas and electric kitchen equipment Replace faulty components, burners, controls, or wiring Perform preventative maintenance as needed Communicate clearly with clients and office regarding status and needs Maintain organized records of work performed Follow safety protocols and work efficiently in active kitchen environments
Qualifications:
Previous experience repairing commercial hot-side equipment (required) Familiarity with brands like Vulcan, Frymaster, Garland, Blodgett, etc. Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Reliable transportation Ability to work independently and manage time well EPA Certification a plus, but not required
