Mamma Onesta's Italian Restaurant in Canton, GA is looking for one person to join our 18 person strong team working in food prep and utility's as a Kitchen Rounds Person We are located on 250 East Main Street. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged with a passion for food . Responsibilities Take direction from Chef Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking Weigh and measure ingredients Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces Label stock and inventory all ingredients Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas Assist dishwasher Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots or pans using dishwashers or by hand Maintain a clean and tidy work area Follow health and safety guidelines Sort and stack clean dishes; Carry clean dishes to proper storage areas Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking Weigh and measure ingredients Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces Label stock and inventory all ingredients Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas Clean as you go, be able to sweep and mop Complete cleaning lists Assist dishwasher in nightly kitchen closing Qualifications Proven working experience as a dishwasher or food service work preferred High integrity with a great attendance record Ability to listen and communicate effectively Ability to communicate and listen to team members Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal Experience as a Prep Cook a plus This is an evening position, shifts ranging from 3pm to 11pm Candidates are required to have reliable transportation to and from work.
