Food Preparation

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Assistant to support our culinary team in a fast-paced food production environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on bakery, pastry, and catering services. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, bagel rolling and preparation, packaging, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred, along with strong customer service skills and a keen eye for detail. This position is integral to ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional products to our customers. Responsibilities Assist in food preparation, including baking, cooking, and assembling dishes Support head baker to meet quality standards Prepare and roll dough daily Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients with care Aid in food production tasks such as portioning, plating, and garnishing Support catering events by preparing and organizing food items Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and sanitized Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or guests Experience Previous experience in food handling, bakery, pastry arts, or culinary settings preferred Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and pastry presentation highly desirable Experience in packaging baked goods or food products for retail or catering purposes Background in food safety standards and proper sanitation practices Restaurant or catering experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with kitchen equipment, knife skills, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous This role offers a dynamic environment for those eager to develop their culinary skills while contributing to a creative team dedicated to quality food production.
