Job Description

Position Summary We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Food Expediter to join our team. The Food Expediter acts as the communication link between the kitchen and serving staff, ensuring food orders are prepared correctly, plated properly, and delivered to guests in a timely manner. This role is essential to maintaining smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the flow of food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house staff Verify that all dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and properly presented before leaving the kitchen Communicate clearly with cooks and servers regarding order status, modifications, and special requests Prioritize tickets to maintain efficient service during busy periods Garnish and finalize plates when necessary Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line and service area Monitor ticket times and help maintain kitchen efficiency Assist with resolving order issues quickly and professionally Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Qualifications Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred Strong communication and multitasking skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Skills Team coordination Time management Problem-solving Customer service awareness Knowledge of food presentation and plating standards #Riddles
