Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and driven individual to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. TLC Preschool & Kindergarten is devoted to providing a nurturing environment in which children learn, grow, and experience the love of Christ. This individual must be able and willing to engage fully with young children, be patient, have good communication skills, manage inventory, safely prepare food according to USDA guidlines, open to constructive correction, pass an enhanced background check, and complete First Aid and CPR training and ServSafe training. Responsibilities Create and follow a weekly menu. Be aware of any child allergies as listed on school paperwork. Keep an accurate inventory of all food items and ingredients for meals, along with expiration dates. Prepare orders for food restock and manage deliveries and restocking. Safely prepare meals according to USDA guidelines and child allergies. Keep kitchen area clean and organized. Work with other team members to provide a safe and loving environment. Uphold the school rules and policies in personal conduct. Instruct and help the children in following school rules and policies. Be willing to correct behavior patiently. Requirements Prior experience working with food in a professional kitchen is a must. Ability to pass an enhanced background check. 18 years of age or older. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Flexibility to work afternoon shifts with the stamina for physically demanding tasks involved in caregiving roles Engage with parents, children, and staff in a respectful and professional manner.
