After an incredible first year, we are excited to continue growing! At Barnette, we value creativity, teamwork, and child-centered learning. We are building a team of educators who are excited to grow alongside our school and help create a joyful early childhood experience for our families. This post is for a Kitchen Helper who is also willing and able to step into classrooms and help occassionally. This is a Full-Time position working M-F. The shift will be a 9 hour shift with a 1 hour lunch break. Job Duties Serve snacks and lunch for all classrooms with extra care and attention given to allergies and dietary restrictions Wash all school dishes Keep kitchen and other school areas clean and tidy Help monitor supplies and communicate supply needs to director Take feedback well and be willing to learn Communicate with parents and other staff in a warm and professional manner Willing to step into classrooms as needed Engage with children in an age appropriate and caring manner Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to different situations Attend occasional events or trainings outside of work hours Qualifications Passionate about Early Childhood Education Must have a highschool diploma or GED Previous experience working with children preferred Ability to lift children, sit, kneel, and bend as necessary to interact with children and fulfill job duties Will be required to pass a background check Up to date on all required vaccinations CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification within 3 months of hire date (Barnette will provide assistance) Salary and Benefits $18-20 an hour based on experience in the role and education/credentials 22 paid holidays off and 12 days of PTO Health insurance with employee contribution Yearly cost of living raises with opportunities for merit based bonuses Staff training and professional development assistance Opportunity for growth within our organization
