Manager Reports to: Management

POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager performs and directs overall restaurant management. Directs staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Monitors team schedules. Assists with recruiting and overseeing training of staff. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors and verifies staff work schedules. Recruits and rewards staff as needed. Ensures that all applicable health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed. Maintains business records and analyzes business records to increase sales. Supports marketing initiatives by identifying and contacting prospective customers to promote sales. Assists with planning special events and promotions. Trains newer and/or less experienced employees in their tasks and responsibilities. Practices inventory control standards and performs regular inventory. Inspects equipment and storage facilities Prepping food items accurately, efficiently, and safely according to company standards. Exhibiting a friendly and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders. Demonstrating a complete understanding of menu items and explaining them to guests accurately. Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image. Restocking items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift. Taking and fulfilling orders for customers and delivery drivers.

PREREQUISITES
General:
Ability to work with all types of staff members, including ownership. This role requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changes as they occur. Team members MUST maintain appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the company's Dress Code Policy. Team members must have an understanding of basic food safety and sanitation. Team members are naturally friendly, respectful, and pleasant. MUST treat coworkers and customers with care. Team members are calm under pressure and not easily rattled, and are reliable, accountable, and coachable. A team player who doesn't bring drama, negativity, or ego into the kitchen.
Education:
Some high school or equivalent.
Experience & Skills:
  • Skills matter, but attitude matters more.
  • Ability to maintain focus and accuracy for orders.
  • A minimum of one (1) year in a restaurant environment, with experience in supervising and training staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and open to feedback.
Physical:
Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, lifting, and walking. Ability to stand for long periods. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Ability to commute to and from the restaurant location.
Availability:
Open availability is a plus. Must be available to work late nights and weekends.
