Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Food Services Director/Assistant, the Dining Service Associate is responsible for diversified tasks within the food service department including ware washing, department sanitation and other processes to ensure that the department operates in a clean, sanitary and safe manner. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Preparation of PV dining area, including supplies and equipment to run efficiently Record and maintain temperatures of equipment and food in appropriate logs Follow and monitor portions and diet plans according to Federal and State guidelines Start preparation of salad bar for PV & LP. Dish up desserts and side salads per department and diet in a presentable fashion Follow all food safety protocols Follow all proper cleaning/sanitation procedures and thoroughly clean and sanitize personal work areas, equipment, and supplies Serve breakfast and assist with daily menus (return to kitchen 8:30) Finish prep of salad bar for PV & LP Prepare PV dining area for lunch service Serve lunch and assist with daily menus (return to kitchen 12:45) Prep salad bar items for the following day Clean, sweep and sanitize your area at the end of each shift Be open and flexible to changes in positions and duties for the appropriate staffing situation Required Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred Excellent customer service skills Previous kitchen experience preferred Must hold or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers certification Possess good leadership and problem solving skills
