Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients to support meal service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with food safety standards Support cooking activities by following recipes and instructions from chefs or dietary staff Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and adhering to sanitation protocols Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely delivery of dishes during busy service periods Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and cleanup Serve meals to residents or guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive dining experience Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Close down the kitchen properly at the end of shift Requirements Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required—willing to train the right person Knowledge in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices Experience working in restaurants or the food industry is highly desirable Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks Join us in creating a vibrant kitchen environment where your contributions make a real difference!
