Job Description
Overview We are seeking motivated, fast paced and dedicated Kitchen Staff to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for serving children our homecooked recipe driven meals. The Kitchen Staff will do all the food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant, hotel, or banquet experience is a plus, but we welcome candidates eager to develop their skills in hospitality and food service. This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork and communication are essential. Duties Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards Cooking and food presentation to ensure timely service Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, putting food orders away and keeping kitchen organized. Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures to meet safety regulations Support the team during busy periods, including serving children and managing food orders Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies in the kitchen Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service Skills Experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments preferred Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction Experience with banquet service, catering, or hospitality industry is advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a positive attitude Good physical stamina for standing long hours and performing manual tasks such as lifting and moving supplies Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety protocols Willing to follow menus and food program guidelines of Illinois for childcare programs Take redirection and guidance where needed Join our team , while providing outstanding service in a childcare environment.
