Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Team Members to join our team. In this role, you will play an essential part in delivering high-quality food and service to our customers. You will be responsible for various kitchen tasks, ensuring that food safety standards are met while preparing meals efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling and preparation. Assist in meal preparation for catering events as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and cooking appliances. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management. Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Basic culinary skills, including knife skills and meal preparation techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. You will need to have/get a bartenders license to back up the bartenders as needed, and you will have the ability to work occasional bartender shifts as well. Compensation While you are in training you will receive $14 an hour. After training, pay goes $16 to $20 an hour. When we have events that we get tipped for, you will receive a share of those tips. Because you do back up the bartender and you are preparing the food that they are serving, bartenders are required to tip out the kitchen, a minimum of 10%.
