Café Team Member

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Café Team Member to support daily operations across both front-of-house and back-of-house areas. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role in a fast-paced café environment. Team members will be expected to assist with customer service, food and beverage preparation, kitchen support, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties may vary day to day based on business needs. Front of House Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner Operate the register and handle customer transactions Prepare beverages as a barista Assist with food preparation for menu items Maintain cleanliness and organization in front-of-house areas Restock front-of-house items and supplies as needed Answer basic customer questions regarding menu items Back of House Responsibilities Chop and prep fruit and other food ingredients Assist with salad preparation and other menu items Support basic baking and prep for daily café offerings Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized kitchen Assist with deliveries and run café-related errands Assist with other back-of-house tasks as needed General Responsibilities Assist wherever needed to support smooth daily operations Transition between front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities throughout the shift Maintain cleanliness and organization across all areas of the café Work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment What Is Needed to

Succeed:

Full-time availability; the Café' is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (times are subject to change based on opening and closing shifts) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand for long periods of time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills Ability to multitask and shift between responsibilities throughout the shift Good personal hygiene, professional appearance, and food safety awareness Must be at least 18 years of age Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (position includes driving) Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check Bonus Qualifications (Preferred, but Not Required): Previous prep cook or kitchen experience Experience operating basic restaurant equipment Familiarity with POS systems Customer service experience Barista experience Introductory (Probationary) Period This position includes an introductory period of approximately 80 working hours. During this time, employee performance, reliability, and overall fit for the role will be evaluated. Completion of the introductory period does not guarantee continued employment or any change in employment status. Employment with the company is at-will and may be terminated by either the employee or the company at any time, with or without cause or notice, including during or after the introductory period.
