Job Description
Shadow Glen Golf Club is looking to add Clubhouse Service Staff to our Food & Beverage team. This position may include serving, bartending, event service, and general clubhouse hospitality depending on experience, schedule, and business needs. If you are looking for a change of pace from the typical service industry job where "turning and burning" is the norm, private club hospitality may be a great fit. At Shadow Glen, the focus is on quality service, genuine connections, and creating memorable experiences for our members and their guests. We are looking for individuals who are personable, dependable, accountable, hardworking, and enjoy being part of a team. Hospitality experience is appreciated, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Responsibilities Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to members and guests. Create memorable moments through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. Greet and engage with members in a positive and welcoming manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Serve food, wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages according to club standards. Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area, including dining areas, bar areas, service stations, and storage spaces. Process orders, payments, and member charges accurately. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines. Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, managers, culinary staff, and other team members. Support clubhouse events, member functions, and daily dining operations as needed. Maintain a calm, professional, and service-focused presence during busy periods. Promote club events, features, and special offerings when appropriate. Qualifications Positive, welcoming, and team-oriented attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, accountable, and willing to learn. Ability to provide professional service in a member-focused environment. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Basic math skills and comfort handling transactions. Previous serving, bartending, restaurant, hotel, catering, or private club experience is a plus, but not required. Wine, beer, and spirits knowledge is helpful, but not required. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift/carry service items as needed. Compensation Base pay is $10-$12 per hour, based on experience. Shadow Glen is an open tipping establishment. With tips included, Clubhouse Service Staff typically average an additional $6-$10 per hour, depending on schedule, shift volume, events, and assigned service areas.
