Job Description
SUMMARY:
Assist the Kitchen Supervisor in food preparation and serving of school breakfast and lunch program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the performance of all basic foodservice tasks required (food preparation, serving, stocking, sales and inventory accounting, and cleaning) to ensure delivery of school meals five days weekly to student body. Other duties as assigned.
Compliance with all food safety codes of MDPH.
Operate a variety of kitchen equipment as required.
Comply with all school policies and procedures and standard practices for confidentiality.
Potential for periodic heavy lifting up to 50 lbs periodically as part of job responsibilities.
SUPERVISORY REPSONSIBILITIES
None
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience desirable but not required. Ability to work well with school community at large (students, staff, faculty, parents and visitors).
Musty be willing to be trained for food safety certification and other trainings as required.
Fingerprinting and CORI check required.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent.
