Do you love ice cream & other frozen desserts ? Are you interested to learn how it's made! Herrell's is Hiring Ice Cream Production Staff. _____________________________________________________________________ Herrell's Ice Cream is a long-standing specialist in the frozen dessert field. We make all our flavors in-house and by hand. We also make the hot fudge we serve, whipped cream and hand dipped cones too ! Herrell's is a women owned small business, and we've been open for 45+ years. We continue to strive to have some of the most innovative ice cream flavorings & have stellar customer service that our regulars come to expect :) _____________________________________________________________________ Our ice cream production staff makes ice cream, non dairy desserts, frozen yogurt and sorbets. Besides making the ice cream; Ice Cream Production Staff are expected to keep a good balance of prepping recipes for different tubs, doing their dishes, keeping a tidy work space (including removal of trash and recycling) and are responsible for ensuring the daily kitchen maintenance logs are fulfilled. After their shift workers are expected to log progress as well as information for lot tracking accurately for food safety protocol. Ice Cream Production staff is expected to communicate well with other kitchen staff and share the kitchen space with others. Opportunity to learn more areas of production and dessert making besides just ice cream are sometimes available. Serve safe or other food service experience is a plus! Although not required. We are always willing to train the right fit :) Must be able to work quickly while still being accurate, following recipes. Looking for a candidate who can start in April/May. This is not a strictly seasonal position, Herrell's is open year round! Candidates with ability to continue working into fall will take priority. Workers are given a "Regular Schedule" which means you would have the same hours and same exact shifts each week. Summer shifts tend to be 6am-1pm or 1pm-8pm, with minimal flexibility on start and end times. Due to equipment being used on shift, you must be 18 years or older to apply.
