As a team member, you will play a vital role in the kitchen as well as providing customer service. We're hiring: cooks, kitchen utility workers, and banquet servers today!
Cook Responsibilities:
Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations Preparing the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks. Plating prepared foods based on senior chef's guidance. Work with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time. Prepare and measure ingredients for menu items, following specified recipes. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including storage areas. Follow proper food handling and sanitation standards to ensure kitchen hygiene. Monitor inventory levels, communicating shortages or replenishment needs. Adhere to health and safety regulations governing food preparation and storage. Always follow food service sanitation regulations.
Kitchen Utility Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashing machines. Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other surfaces. Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors for a neat and sanitary kitchen environment. Remove and dispose of trash and garbage to designated areas. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, ensuring organizational efficiency. Use specific chemicals to clean equipment and maintain sanitary standards. Handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety standards. Polish silverware when required. Wash pots as needed. Ensure proper sorting and storage of cleaned dishes and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen and service staff. Always follow food service sanitation regulations along with health and safety guidelines. Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment and appliances. Foster a positive and team-oriented atmosphere in the kitchen.
Banquet Server Responsibilities:
Set up banquet rooms as per event specifications, including table settings and decorations. Greeting and assisting guests during events, ensuring a positive and memorable experience. Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism and attention to detail. Monitor and respond to guest needs to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. Collaborate with the kitchen and catering staff to ensure timely and accurate service. Clear tables efficiently and reset them for subsequent courses or events. Always follow food service sanitation regulations along with health and safety guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move for 8-hour shifts, lift and carry up to 30 pounds, and perform physically demanding tasks. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. Stamina to handle repetitive and multiple tasks while maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in hot and humid environments.
Hiring Essentials:
Proven experience or in a similar hospitality role. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing event dynamics. Have a strong working knowledge of proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have reliable and consistent transportation. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must be willing to submit to a Drug Test and Criminal Background Check.
