Full Job Description Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Sushi Chef in the preparation and production of sushi items for our guests in accordance with company food preparations and service guidelines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Works in front of guests while preparing food at the sushi bar and ensuring a fun and inviting experience. Prepare all sushi items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines. Read tickets and prepare order. Coordinate tickets with service/kitchen staff and managers. Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items. Keep updated on recipe changes and ensure proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain a high quality and consistent product. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen area throughout shift. Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station. Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi bar and equipment.

Job Requirements:

Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred. Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times. Must be able to work as part of a team and recognize the importance of each team member's role in the guest dining experience. Ability to prepare food for consumption with background knowledge of proper techniques and equipment to be used. Knowledge of industry standards on food storage and handling techniques is highly desirable. Where applicable, holds a state and/or local food handler's card. Must be 18 years of age or older or in accordance of state law. High School diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered. Must be eligible to work in the United States. INDBOH
