  • Slice bbq ribs
  • Deep fry chicken and catfish
  • Chop pork, sausages, whole chickens and chicken salad Job Summary The Food Preparation Worker plays a crucial role in the culinary team, responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in the overall meal preparation process.
This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices to ensure high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and a passion for culinary arts, contributing to a positive dining experience for all patrons. Duties Prepare and portion food items according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in meal preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, as well as cooking basic dishes. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to plan menus and ensure timely service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management. Follow proper sanitation practices during food handling and preparation processes. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Experience in culinary techniques and meal preparation within a food service environment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting while maintaining a positive attitude. Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other cooking equipment. Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department requirements is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. This position is essential for ensuring that meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and deliciously, contributing to the overall success of the culinary operations.
