Kitchen Staff The Kitchen By Cooking with Que Detroit, MI Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Pre-cooking preparation High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Packaging Organizational skills Communication with kitchen staff Full Job Description Kitchen Staff support daily culinary operations by assisting with food preparation, plating, and kitchen organization. This role works closely with chefs and kitchen leads to maintain food quality, consistency, and efficiency during regular service, private events, and catering engagements. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high culinary and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Execution- Assist with ingredient preparation including chopping, measuring, marinating, and portioning
- Support plating and presentation in alignment with brand standards
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
- Maintain consistency in food quality and timing during service Kitchen Operations & Support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations and storage areas
- Restock ingredients and supplies during service as needed
- Support event and catering preparation, including bulk prep and packaging
- Communicate effectively with chefs and team members to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements:
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Capable for multi-tasking.
- Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field.
