Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure timely meal assembly Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, and side dishes in accordance with menu specifications Support cooking activities by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen managers Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including sanitizing surfaces and proper food handling practices Handle food safely by adhering to hygiene standards and proper storage procedures to prevent contamination Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for upcoming meals or special catering events Serve food efficiently during meal service, ensuring presentation standards are met and customer satisfaction is prioritized Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Experience working in food service, restaurants, or the food industry provides a strong foundation for success in this role Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment enhances your ability to excel Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures is essential Culinary experience or skills such as knife proficiency and meal preparation contribute to efficiency in the kitchen environment Exposure to menu planning, catering, or serving roles can be advantageous but is not mandatory A proactive attitude with the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure is key Join us in creating a positive culinary experience!
