  • Part-time Job Summary Located off of Island Lake in Duluth, new restaurant looking for kitchen help.
Part-time with possibility of full-time for committed, dependable individual. Pay to be discussed.​ In addition to our main kitchen, we have a concession-style stand as well that will serve ice cream and foods such as cheeseburgers, hot dogs, cold sandwiches through the summer. Flexibility and quick learning very valued. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals according to menu specifications Support cooking activities by following recipes and safety guidelines to ensure quality and consistency Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards Help with meal service by setting up serving stations and assisting staff during busy periods Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on operational needs Contribute to catering events or special meal occasions as needed to ensure timely and efficient service Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is preferred but not required Familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and basic cooking techniques Experience in food service environments such as restaurants or catering is advantageous Strong knife skills and ability to assist with meal preparation efficiently Knowledge of food industry standards related to cleanliness, safety, and sanitation Ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills Willingness to learn new culinary skills and adapt to various kitchen tasks This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build their culinary expertise while supporting a vibrant food service operation.
