Responsibilities Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and freshness. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently. Take customer orders with enthusiasm, upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience, and handle cash or card transactions with precision. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety regulations. Assist with food handling, packaging, and serving to ensure quick service in a fast-food or café environment. Support inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring food expiration dates, and managing basic grocery store math for accurate stock levels. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations, including food prep, cashiering, and customer service. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments such as grocery stores or quick-service restaurants. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management. Previous restaurant experience or culinary background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
