Food Service Expeditor

Job Title:

Expo (Expeditor)Position Summary The Expo (Expeditor) plays a critical role in ensuring efficient communication between the kitchen and front-of-house team. This position is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and delivering food orders accurately and promptly while maintaining presentation standards and supporting overall service flow. Key Responsibilities Act as the liaison between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate order delivery Review tickets and organize orders for efficient preparation and execution Inspect completed dishes for accuracy, quality, and presentation before they leave the kitchen Communicate clearly with kitchen staff regarding order timing, modifications, and priorities Ensure all components of each dish are complete before sending out Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line and service area Assist with running food to tables as needed Monitor ticket times and help manage kitchen pace during busy periods Support team members to ensure smooth, efficient service Qualifications Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and commitment to quality Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs Comfortable working in a high-temperature kitchen environment Work Environment Fast-paced, high-energy restaurant setting Frequent interaction with kitchen and front-of-house staff Exposure to heat, noise, and busy service periods
