Full Job Description Kitchen Cook/Prep/Dishwasher Job Summary:
Let the good times "rock and roll"! Wild Wing Cafe is hiring a team of individuals in our kitchen area. If you like a cool, upbeat atmosphere, then Wild Wing Cafe is the place! We are currently hiring for Cooks, Food Prep and Dishwashers. Our kitchen is looking for skilled kitchen staff to join our existing team. You will be tasked with doing your part to help our restaurant operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. This will require you to be adaptable and willing to do a little bit of everything that our kitchen needs to do its best work. For example, you may be asked to assist with food preparation, clean the kitchen, wash dishes, prepare simple meals, and more. To find success in this role, you will need to be adaptable, hard-working, and willing to take direction. You should also be comfortable with managing competing priorities in a fast-paced restaurant setting. By hiring the right people, we deliver on our focus and commitment which is a great guest dining experience. That experience includes outstanding service, craveable food and beverage where food safety is a priority.
Duties:
Positive attitude Great interpersonal skills Prepare and cook meals according to recipes Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner Assist with menu planning and meal preparation Maintain a clean and organized work area Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards Ability to use POS system All positions are also expected to perform a variety of side work tasks Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently weighing up to 25 lbs Flexibility and availability to work am, pm, and weekend shifts Must have reliable transportation Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils Ability to work effectively in a restaurant or catering environment
Requirements:
Previous experience in the food industry (1-3 years preferred) Knowledge of food preparation and menu planning Knowledge of food handling procedures and basic food preparation techniques Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely Familiarity with food safety regulations ServSafe certification We're currently holding open interviews for available positions. No appointment is necessary - simply stop by on Tuesday or Wednesday from 2 PM - 4 PM. If we decide to move forward after your interview, you'll need to bring documents to complete the Form I-9 (such as a passport, driver's license, and Social Security card).
