Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen environment, with a strong understanding of food handling and safety protocols. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines at all times. Assist in menu planning and development as needed. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as required. Experience Previous experience as a cook or in a dietary aide role is preferred. Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Strong knife skills and knowledge of food preparation methods. Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is a plus. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations within the dietary department. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
