We're looking for a dependable Kitchen Assistant and Driver to support our daily operations, including food prep, kitchen cleanliness, and delivery of hot lunches to local childcare centers. A current drivers license and clean driving record is needed. Position Overview This is a hands-on, versatile role ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a small team, and taking pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Assist with basic food prep (chopping, assembling, portioning) Dishwashing and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen Follow food safety and sanitation standards Assist with packing and staging catering and school lunch orders Deliver hot lunches to childcare schools in Central Jersey (as needed) Support the kitchen team with daily tasks as assigned Requirements Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Food service or kitchen experience a plus (but not required) Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Schedule Weekday mornings and early afternoons and possible weekends Some flexibility required based on catering and school delivery needs Pay & Perks Great pay: $16-$19 per hour , based on experience Friendly, respectful work environment Consistent hours Opportunity to grow with a local business Free meals during shifts To apply: Fill out the application, or stop by Sunshine Grill in Edison to apply in person.
