Job Description

Job SummaryOversee kitchen operations during service to ensure each customer receives the correct items with proper presentation and quality. This position requires excellent reading and communication skills. You must be able to read tickets accurately and quickly, communicate with wait staff and cooks to ensure a smooth dining experience for our guests. Activities & ResponsibilitiesPrimary o Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of
BLENDED FLAVORS
o Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff. o Enforce and ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis. o Communicate food orders to line cooks, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies) o Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portion, cooking and serving standards. o Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards. o Responsible for reading order tickets and assisting the line to swift and accurate completion o Responsible for retrieving order items and condiments, proper plating and checking ticket to items retrieved for accuracy. o Ensure Kitchen is stocked with containers, condiments, ingredients and replenishing as necessary to keep service flowing. o Present orders to wait staff in a timely manner. o Request product from cooks and prep crew members to supply the holding cabinet and steam table as needed. o Maintain hot or cold temperature conditions as per standards. o Maintain appropriate portion-control o Enforce cleaning and food safety standards keeping kitchen clean and free of debris. o Complete shift work, as assigned, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards. o Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement. o Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant. o Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. Supplemental o Perform other tasks as assigned.
