Pay Range:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00am start time, typically ending around 2:00pm (flexible end time based on program needs) Part Time | Weekday Daytime Schedule | No Evenings or Weekends Join a Growing Team Supporting Mental Health Recovery Social Clubhouse is seeking a reliable and compassionate Kitchen aid to help prepare and serve daily meals for members of our adult mental health partial care program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, values routine, and wants to be part of a supportive, mission-driven environment. As our program continues to grow and our client census expands, this position also offers potential opportunities to transition to a full-time role with benefits for the right long-term team member.
What You Will Do:
Prepare and serve daily breakfast and lunch for program members Assist with weekly meal planning and food purchasing Follow CACFP food standards to ensure meals meet reimbursement requirements Maintain kitchen cleanliness including dishwashing, food storage, and sanitation Receive and organize weekly food deliveries Assist with occasional special event meals and program activities Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a welcoming and respectful environment Lunch service is completed by 1:10pm, followed by cleanup.
What We Are Looking For:
At least 1 year of food preparation experience (required) Experience working in a commercial kitchen setting Experience working with adults with special needs or mental health diagnoses preferred NJ Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid driver's license Ability to lift 30 pounds Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently Prevocational experience with special needs populations is preferred.
