Overview Join our vibrant Farmers' Market team as a dedicated Floor Staff member, where your enthusiasm and customer service skills will create a lively, welcoming atmosphere for vendors and visitors alike! Your proactive approach will help foster a positive shopping experience while supporting vendors and managing daily market activities with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Position is for the Santa Fe Farmer's Market. Working the Saturday market in high season from 6am - 2pm. Approximately 8 hours a week, possible room for more hours and growth in the organization. Work with Market Manager to facilitate smooth farmer's market operations including: Public Safety, vendor load in/out, vendor set up, walk in cooler organization, etc. On-site assistance with market set up and take down Help regulate the flow of the market Assist with on-site monitoring to ensure regulation compliance, public safety, and positive vendor and visitor experience (with Market Manager) Help collect booth fees Knowledge of and interest in supporting small-scale agriculture and local food initiatives a plus Exceptional organizational, communication and customer service skills Transparent, honest, and courteous in all interpersonal interactions with vendors/members, staff and the public Ability to be flexible, responsive, and think on your feet in stressful situations Comfort with enforcing rules and policies in a thoughtful, fair and courteous manner Work in Gift Shop as Cashier as needed Work in Café Hall as needed Dedication to showing up consistently for early morning markets as early as 6AM. It is important to be punctual; Lateness is not acceptable Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours at a time and work long shifts when needed Proven experience in customer service, food service, hospitality, or related roles that involve guest interaction Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with diverse groups including children and community members of all ages Ability to lift 50 pounds Reliable transportation Reliable and responsive means of communication Spanish proficiency (bilingual) a plus Other Duties as
