Unit Manager / Field Services Leadership Position Overview Baseline Emergency Solutions, is seeking Mobile Food Service Unit (MFSU) Crew Members to support large-scale emergency response and field catering operations during wildfire season. This role is part of a mobile team that deploys to remote locations across the U.S. to provide high-quality meals to first responders, agency personnel, and support crews. MFSU Crew Members are adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced, remote environments. This is hands-on, physically active work that requires flexibility, professionalism, and pride in doing things the right way—especially when conditions are challenging. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable with extended workdays during deployments and appreciate the earning potential that comes with seasonal field work. This role may also be known as Mobile Kitchen Crew Member, Field Catering Crew, Emergency Food Service Worker, or Disaster Response Food Service. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, serve, and break down large-volume meals in mobile kitchen units
  • Support daily kitchen operations, including food prep, service lines, cleaning, and sanitation
  • Assist with setup, teardown, and organization of mobile food service units
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols at all times
  • Work collaboratively with crew members, unit managers, and drivers
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-focused attitude during employments
  • Adapt to changing schedules, locations, and operational needs
  • Support other duties as assigned to ensure smooth field operations What to Expect
  • Work is performed in the field, often in remote outdoor environments
  • Deployments may last several days to multiple weeks
  • Long shifts are common during active deployments
  • Living accommodations may include temporary tent camps, shared lodging, or RVs
  • Weather conditions, terrain, and schedules may vary significantly This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy seasonal work, teamwork, and contributing to meaningful operations that support public safety efforts.
Government Contracting Environment Baseline Emergency Solutions supports federal, state, and local government contracts, including emergency response and disaster relief operations. As a result, all field staff are expected to adhere to strict safety, conduct, and compliance standards while deployed. Work assignments may be subject to client requirements, security protocols, and additional compliance measures depending on the contract and location. Drug

  • Adhere to safety, sanitation, and operational protocols Our work often takes place in high-visibility environments where professionalism and accountability are essential.
Qualifications Required:
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments (standing, lifting, bending)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and deploy on short notice
  • Ability to follow instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable Preferred (but not required):
  • Food service, catering, or kitchen experience
  • Experience working in camps, festivals, events, or remote job sites
  • ServSafe certification
  • Prior fire camp or disaster response experience Compensation & Seasonal Incentives
  • Hourly pay ranging from $18.00
  • 21.00 (plus the SCA Health and Welfare fringe benefit), depending on experience, role assignment, and deployment needs
  • During active deployments, employees typically have the opportunity to work extended shifts, which may include overtime in accordance with applicable labor laws—depending on assignment and hours worked, deployment weeks may result in gross earnings of approximately $1,600
  • 1,800 per week
  • Actual earnings vary based on deployment activity, role assignment, and hours worked
  • Eligible employees may qualify for seasonal incentive pay and bonuses based on factors such as deployment participation, length of service, availability, and overall season performance.
  • Employees with a valid Class A CDL may also be eligible for additional compensation following a minimum employment period. Bonus eligibility and amounts vary by role, tenure, and season performance. Employment Type
