POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The dishwasher is responsible for washing dishes, cleaning, and helping to prep and serve meals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Wash all dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc. 2. Help set up dining hall for meals including setting and moving tables and chairs. 3. Assist with meal preparation. 4. Empty trash, sweep, and mop dining hall, dish room, and kitchen. 5. Date and put stock away. 6. Clean bathrooms. 7. Other duties as assigned.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull trays of food 6. Exposure to heat for extended periods of time from ovens, stoves, hot water, dishwasher, & other kitchen appliances. 7. Works with sharp utensils such as knives and other hazardous kitchen tools 8. Noise level is typically moderate but can at times be loud.
