Cafe Counter Help and Prep

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting in the daily operations of our café. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. (Required to be over 18 and must work weekends) Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, providing recommendations when necessary. Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and food safety guidelines. Food Prepration- handling knives and other kitchen equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Dishwashing Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist in restocking supplies and reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience. Skills Knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry is essential. Previous experience in a kitchen or café setting is preferred. The ability to multi-task is required. Cash handling skills with an understanding of basic math for accurate transactions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for the food industry and a willingness to learn new skills related to making food from scratch and café operations.
