Job Description

Join our team and be part of creating unforgettable experiences. The Role The Toledo Complex includes both the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center. This position provides operational support across both venues. A Prep Cook is responsible for the food preparation, execution, and delivery of safely handled food to the customer facing employees for service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following:
- Must maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times.
- Report for scheduled event on time and report to assigned area in a timely manner.
- Fulfill the assigned opening and closing duties.
- Report to direct supervisor for prep lists and time lines of the days tasks
- Carry out assigned tasked in a timely and safe fashion using correct recipes.
- Constant maintenance of walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage and all work areas.
- Must have extensive knowledge of all menus being offered including specials.
- Communicate with Supervisors, Attendants, Runners, Chefs and Legends Management.
- Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments within venue.
- Attention to detail that will exceed expectations.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly setting within the kitchen.
- Complete closing duties and checkout with manager/supervisor.
- Must know the "layout" of the kitchen and back of the house area where you are working, (i.e. - know where the closest First Aid office, bathroom and staircase are), and be able to direct staff and guests to their designation.
- Must be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue.
- May be re-assigned to a different location in certain situations based on the venue's needs. Other duties and assignments may apply.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, stock, food and beverage, concessions, or event operations experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment. Ability to promote and participate in a team-oriented work environment. Ability to understand written and verbal directions and communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and team members. Ability to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and event days. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and move for extended periods of time. Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. Must be dependable, punctual, and prepared to report to work as scheduled. Legends' handbook notes that attendance and punctuality are important because unnecessary absences and lateness are disruptive and place an unfair burden on fellow employees and supervisors. Must follow company policies, workplace conduct standards, safety expectations, and operational procedures.PREFERRED SKILLS

High school diploma or equivalent. Work Environment This position operates in warehouse, dock, storage, kitchen, concessions, and event spaces throughout the Toledo Complex. Team members may work indoors and outdoors depending on event needs.
