Duties Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and organizing ingredients using proper knife skills. Support cooking processes by following recipes and ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Help with food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards at all times. Serve dishes to customers or assist servers during busy periods, ensuring a positive dining experience. Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients needed for daily specials or upcoming events. Aid in catering setups and food service during special functions or events, ensuring timely delivery and presentation. Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Proven ability to perform meal preparation and cooking tasks efficiently. Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment with excellent customer service skills. Familiarity with kitchen equipment, utensils, and knife skills necessary for food prep. Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of menu planning, food industry standards, and catering operations is a plus.
