Duties Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meals. Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and ensuring kitchen tools and equipment are ready for use. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to hygiene standards. Assist with meal service by setting up serving stations and helping serve food to guests or customers. Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and cleanup. Follow all safety protocols related to kitchen operations, including knife skills and proper food storage practices. Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable. Experience working in food service, restaurants, or the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards. Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary staff.
