Kitchen Assistant Jefferson, OR 97352 From $16 an hour - Part-time From $16 an hour - Part-time About the role St. Innocent Winery has been producing award-winning Willamette Valley wines since 1988. Food is an important part of the experience we offer guests in our tasting room, and we're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented kitchen assistant to help us deliver it consistently. This is a hands-on support role. The work is primarily prep, assembly, and kitchen maintenance, with some scratch cooking. You won't be designing menus or running a line, but you will be an essential part of a small team that takes pride in their work. This role is a great fit if you Take pride in consistent, careful work done the same way every time Stay organized and on-task in a fast-moving environment Work well within a team and follow direction reliably Are curious about wine and appreciate working in that environment What you'll do Prep ingredients - portioning, chopping, and proper storage Assemble food boards and other menu items to spec and on time Handle some scratch cooking as directed by the kitchen manager Set up and maintain stations stocked to par throughout service Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards Operate kitchen equipment safely (stoves, ovens, dishwashers, and more) Communicate low stock to the kitchen manager proactively Assist with event support, including occasional guest-facing food delivery Help with other winery tasks as directed Requirements Valid Oregon Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain within 7 days of hire) Availability on weekends, select evenings, and holidays during peak tourism season Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Willingness to take direction and follow kitchen procedures consistently Ability to commute to Jefferson, OR 97352 (in-person role) What we offer Competitive hourly pay D.O.E. + tip share Generous employee wine discounts Collaborative team environment Day shift St. Innocent Winery is an equal opportunity employer.
