Catering Food Service Prep

Job Overview We are seeking a Per Diem motivated and friendly Customer Service Hospitality Associate to join our team in a dynamic restaurant environment. This role is essential in helping our team be prepared for service and catering events/orders throughout the week. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, independence once learning workflows and menus. Reliable and can understand and contribute to daily tasks. Responsibilities Prep orders received from the kitchen into the proper to go bags for sale. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions. Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment while ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Ensure all proper food safety standards are being followed at all times. Provide product explanations and upsell items to enhance customer experience. Maintain an organized and clean work station. Stock chips and ensure beverage products are filled in the cooler. Assist in preparing recipes and maintaining food par levels. Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or catering inquiries. Take daily inventory levels of food. If items need ordering, write on purchase board. Assist in working catering events.

Ex:

Weddings, conferences, birthday parties and many other events. Skills Strong customer service, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. Proficient in understanding restaurant workflows and procedures. Solid understanding of phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries professionally. Previous restaurant/catering experience is helpful but not necessary if a fast learner.
