• to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and assembling our signature tacos and other hot items at a high speed while maintaining quality, consistency, and food safety standards. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operation. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook meats, vegetables, and other fillings on the grill (carne asada, al pastor, pollo, chorizo, etc.)
• Assemble tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and other menu items according to exact recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation (mise en place) throughout the shift
• Monitor and restock ingredients during service to ensure continuous flow
• Work efficiently during peak hours while producing high-quality food
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures
• Collaborate closely with the cashier and kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Perform opening and closing kitchen duties, including proper storage and cleaning of equipment
• Help with prep work (chopping, marinating, making salsas) as needed Requirements
• Previous experience as a Taquero, line cook, or grill cook in a Mexican restaurant or taqueria
• strongly preferred
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of Mexican cuisine and taco assembly techniques is a big plus
• Reliable, punctual, and able to stand for long periods while working in a hot kitchen
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Food Handler's Permit (ServSafe or Rhode Island equivalent) required — we can help you obtain one if needed
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred What We Offer
