Duties Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards Support meal assembly, portioning, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency Maintain kitchen cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, equipment, and storage areas regularly Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences for residents or customers Skills Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments preferred Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food handling practices Familiarity with restaurant or catering experience enhances efficiency in fast-paced settings Understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation standards essential for maintaining hygiene standards Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing multiple tasks simultaneously Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and serve customers confidently Embark on this rewarding journey where your culinary talents help serve others with care and excellence.
