We're expanding our back-of-house production team and seeking reliable, hardworking individuals who love food and are excited to grow their skills in baking and chocolate-making.
Position Summary:
As a Pastry / Chocolatier Assistant , you'll support our experienced bakers and chocolatiers in daily production of fresh pastries, chocolates, and baked goods. This hands-on role involves prep work, production assistance, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. It's ideal for someone with kitchen experience who wants to develop specialized skills in pastries and fine chocolate.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and baking pastries, cakes, breads, and other items from scratch, following recipes for consistent quality and taste. Support chocolate production, including molding, filling, tempering, and packaging premium chocolate treats.
Perform daily prep tasks:
measuring ingredients, organizing workstations, and managing inventory. Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and organization (including dishwashing and end-of-shift cleaning). Learn and apply new techniques, recipes, and processes while working closely with the team.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience (bakery, pastry, restaurant, or food production preferred). Strong desire to learn baking, pastry, and chocolate-making skills. Reliable, punctual, and committed to a strong work ethic. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and stand for long periods. Attention to detail, with a focus on quality and food safety. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warm kitchen setting.
