Duties Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, measuring, and assembling ingredients according to established recipes and standards Support cooking activities by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors to ensure timely meal production Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and adhering to sanitation protocols Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Serve meals efficiently during designated service times, ensuring presentation quality and customer satisfaction Support catering events by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and managing serving stations as needed Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Kitchen experience in restaurants or the food industry provides a strong foundation for success in this role Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices is essential Skills in meal preparation, cooking techniques, knife handling, and food presentation are valued assets Experience with menu planning or catering operations can enhance your contribution to the team Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety This energetic position invites motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary expertise while supporting a vibrant kitchen environment.
