Duties Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and desserts, following established recipes and standards Support cake decorating with piping, icing, fondant application, and other artistic techniques to produce visually stunning creations Package baked items carefully for retail display or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in compliance with food safety regulations Handle food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling pastries efficiently Support food handling procedures to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met across all kitchen activities Contribute to food production for catering events or restaurant service, working collaboratively with the culinary team to meet deadlines and quality expectations Experience Previous experience in pastry preparation or baking is highly preferred; familiarity with cake decorating techniques is a plus Hands-on experience in a food industry setting such as a bakery, restaurant, or catering service is advantageous Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is essential Culinary experience involving food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations will support success in this role Strong knife skills for precise ingredient cutting and pastry assembly are desirable Customer service experience is beneficial for engaging positively with clients or guests when needed Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods ensures products are presented attractively and safely for sale or delivery Embark on a rewarding journey where your creativity and culinary skills help craft memorable desserts that delight every guest.
